Indoor racing as the only respite of lockdown — and a national podium over twelve hours.
The first edition of the 6-12-24 hour National Virtual Time-Trial Championship was held on 15 August 2020, giving riders from India and across the world a single platform to show their prowess. Lockdown was difficult for everyone, and indoor cycling on a smart interactive trainer was the only respite for cyclists.
I took part in the 12-hour segment, riding on ZWIFT integrated with a TacX Neo smart interactive trainer. I covered 390.4 km in the duration and stood 3rd in the category.
