One of India's oldest and most scenic 1,200 km rides through the southern hills.
Bliss In The Hills is one of the oldest 1,200 km rides in India and has been an annual feature since 2014. Scenic places such as Belur, Virajpet, Mananthavadi, Kalpetta, Meppadi, Gudalur, Ooty, Kotagiri, Yercaud and Yelagiri are part of the route, with a total elevation gain of about 14,000 m.
The original idea of the ride is to nurture and sustain a 1,200 km that challenges riders while offering a world-class riding experience.
About the event. Bliss in the Hills is one of the oldest 1,200 km brevets in India and among the toughest in the world for its elevation and riding conditions — an out-and-back from Bengaluru through Belur, Virajpet, Mananthavadi, Kalpetta, Meppadi, Gudalur, Kotagiri, Yercaud and Yelagiri, with about 14,031 m of climbing. Run by Bangalore Brevets (an ACP-recognised ride since 2014), it has seen just 23 finishers across its first six editions — a measure of its difficulty. A brevet is a non-competitive, fixed-route ride against the clock, not a race.
