GOLDEN QUADRILATERAL EXPEDITION -2020 (GUINNESS RECORD)
The event started on 16 October 2020 from India Gate, New Delhi and I approached the 5942 km Golden Quadrilateral route via Kolkata, Chennai & Mumbai. I finished the expedition on 31 October 2020 at India Gate, New Delhi in 14 days, 23 hours, 52 minutes & 11 seconds. The earlier record was 19 days 23 hours accomplished on 05 Mar 2017 by Mr Devanshu Shivnani of New Delhi which was improved by almost 05 days.
The sheer enormity of the event was enough to test the determination and mental strength of the rider as well as the crew. I encountered bad traffic, rains for multiple days in south India, equipment breakdown, etc during the expedition. I slept for 3-4 hours on average and covered over 400 km per day for the said duration.
